Who we are

Raqeemly ("we", "us", "our") is operated by a sole trader registered in New South Wales, Australia. Our identity and registration details are available from the Australian Business Register using the ABN below.

ABN: 85 137 267 698

Privacy contact: support@raqeemly.com

Email is the contact method for all privacy enquiries, requests and complaints. We will respond by email.

This policy covers the Raqeemly mobile app ("the App") and the website at raqeemly.com ("the Site").

What we do not collect

This is a consequence of how the App is built, not only a promise about how we behave. There is no upload path in the App and no server for documents to go to. You can verify this yourself: put your phone in airplane mode and every scanning feature continues to work.

  • your scanned documents, images or PDFs;

  • the text extracted from your documents by text recognition (OCR);

  • your document names, tags, folders or search history;

  • your contacts, calendar, photo library contents, location, or microphone;

  • any account credentials, because the App has no accounts.

What happens on your device

The following all run locally on your phone and produce data that stays on your phone:

If you uninstall the App, this data is deleted from your device. We hold no copy and cannot restore it.

What is transmitted, and why

4.1 Purchase verification

If you buy a paid upgrade, the App verifies that purchase using RevenueCat, Inc., a purchase-validation service based in the United States.

What is sent: only the information RevenueCat requires in order to validate a purchase and identify the installation it belongs to.

What is not sent: your name, your email address, your payment card details, or anything at all about your documents.

Purpose: to confirm you have paid, to unlock the feature you bought, and to let you restore that purchase on a new device.

Legal basis (where the GDPR applies): performance of a contract with you.

RevenueCat processes this information on our behalf. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for their handling practices.

4.2 App store purchases

Your payment is processed by Apple or Google, not by us. We never see or hold your card details. Apple and Google handle that information under their own privacy policies.

Apple and Google provide us with aggregated, de-identified sales and performance reports (for example, total downloads by country). These do not identify individual users.

4.3 Crash reports

If the App crashes, it writes a diagnostic report to your device. That report stays on your device unless you choose to send it.

If you choose to send it, the App opens your own email application with the report attached, and you decide whether to send it. Nothing is transmitted automatically. A crash report contains technical information such as the error, app version, device model and operating system version. It does not contain your documents or their contents.

4.4 If you email us

If you email support@raqeemly.com, we receive your email address, whatever you write, and anything you attach. We use this only to answer you.

Please do not send us confidential documents. If you attach a screenshot or file to help us diagnose a problem, we will use it only for that purpose and delete it when the matter is resolved.

We use a third-party email provider to host our support mailbox.

4.5 This website

The Site is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no advertising or social tracking, and has no contact forms or logins.

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical request data, such as IP addresses, as part of delivering and protecting the Site. We do not use this to identify or profile visitors.

5

Permissions the App asks for

Camera — required, so you can scan documents. Images captured are processed on your device.

Photos — optional, used for two features: importing images you choose into the App (for example, turning photos into a PDF), and saving document pages from the App to your photo library. On recent versions of iOS and Android, importing uses the system photo picker, which shares only the specific images you select — the App cannot browse the rest of your library. Imported images and saved pages stay on your device like everything else; nothing from your photo library is ever transmitted.

We do not request microphone, location, contacts or health permissions.

If you deny camera access, the App will explain why it is needed and offer to open your device settings. If you deny photo access, scanning still works — only photo import and saving to your library are affected. You can withdraw any permission at any time in your device settings.

6

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since the App has no accounts and collects no personal information about users, it holds no children's data.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information by emailing us, contact support@raqeemly.com and we will delete it.

7

Overseas disclosure

The purchase verification described in clause 4.1 involves RevenueCat, which is located in the United States and may process the information there or in other countries where its infrastructure operates.

By using paid features, you acknowledge this transfer. Where required, we rely on the contractual protections in our agreement with that provider. Under Australian Privacy Principle 8, we take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle information consistently with Australian privacy law, but we cannot control every act of an overseas provider.

8

How long information is kept

On your device

For as long as you keep the App installed, or until you delete the documents yourself.

Purchase verification records

Retained by RevenueCat for as long as needed to support purchase restoration.

Support emails

Retained for up to 24 months, then deleted, unless a longer period is required for a legal or accounting reason.

9

Security

We hold almost no personal information, which is the strongest protection available — information that is never collected cannot be breached.

For what does exist: your documents are protected by your device's own security, including your passcode, biometric lock and the operating system's app sandboxing. We strongly recommend you use a device passcode. Our administrative accounts are protected by strong, unique passwords and multi-factor authentication where available.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10

Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, and any other regulator where required.

11

Your rights

Access and correction. You can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. In most cases the answer will be that we hold nothing beyond an anonymous purchase record, because we have no accounts. Your documents are already in your possession — on your device — and we cannot access them.

Deletion. To delete your documents, delete them in the App or uninstall it. To ask us to delete support correspondence, email us.

If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you (you are in the EU or UK), you also have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not engage in cross-context behavioural advertising.

To exercise any right, email support@raqeemly.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your request; because we have no accounts, there may be cases where we cannot link a request to any information we hold, and we will tell you if that is the case.

12

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, email support@raqeemly.com with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au, or to your local data protection authority if you are outside Australia.

13

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and publish the new version on this page. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will describe the change in the App or on the Site.

Previous versions are available on request.
